Capital One Hometown Tourist Scavenger Hunt
Timothy Snell Wins the
Capital One Hometown Tourist Scavenger Hunt
Timothy Snell figured out the final clue to the weeklong Capital One Hometown Tourist Scavenger Hunt. The final clue was There is a shelter where you can go where gentle springs of tranquility flow. A cloudless panorama, a most calming place, harmoniously balanced in nature’s grace. Going green in this house will always go well with handmade crafts that are easy to sell. Sit awhile and watch the boats sail by while dreaming of the days gone by.
The answer was Barnwell Garden and Art Center. Arriving first with last year’s winner Tommy Wallace close on his heels, Snell snagged $2,000.
The purpose of the Capital One Hometown Tourist Scavenger Hunt was to encourage area residents to visit attractions throughout Caddo and Bossier Parish. This weeklong scavenger hunt is a local program as part of National Tourism Week.
“This was a fun experience,” Snell said. “I learned a lot about these attractions and found the tourist bureau’s site very helpful. I really enjoyed going to the Robinson Film Center. It was really impressive. But I had a great time going to all of the attractions.”
Snell's win ends the weeklong Capital One Hometown Tourist Scavenger Hunt.
